Ingredients
  • 1.5pounds round steak, cubed
  • 4 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2pound fresh mushrooms, quartered
  • 3/4cup pearl barley
  • 1/2tsp. salt
  • 1/4tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2tsp. thyme
  • 1/2.tsp. basil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4cups beef broth
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients, place in a ziplock bag, and freeze. (If there is not enough room in your ziplock bag, you can omit the beef broth prior to freezing, and just add the 4 cups into your crock pot when ready to cook.)

Write on bag:  Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
