After narrowing down some color options, I always recommend purchasing color samples to try out in the room. However, be sure not to paint the sample colors right onto your cabinets (it will change the texture you’re painting over later).

Instead, paint pieces of cardboard with the colors and move them to different areas of the room. Be sure to do this throughout an entire day, as the amount of light (and thus the color of the paint) will change.
