365 days ago I committed to writing for 31 days on a topic, and I just wasn’t able to follow through. Actually, it wasn’t a complete failure, because I did crank out 15 or so posts about how to refresh with paint , and I learned a lot about myself as a blogger. I was pretty new to all of this, and I’d like to believe I now have a lot more experience under my belt that is going to help me to be successful at creating a project per day and churning out a tutorial post for each project. But honestly, there’s not much time to talk about all that right now, because I’m knee-deep in projects for this series, and I’m ready to get started!
For the next 31 days, I will be posting an upcycled, repurposed, reused, or reinvented DIY holiday décor item or craft. If you’ve read any of my other posts, you know I love to create without spending a lot of money. I’ve combed thrift stores, my basement, my family and friends’ basements, and my backyard to help inspire my projects. This series is meant to help others do the just the same – create beautiful décor without spending a lot of money.
The first couple of weeks will be devoted to fall projects, and the end of the series will focus on winter and Christmas décor. (I know, I dislike seeing Christmas posts and decorations before Thanksgiving just as much as you do. But, let’s be honest, if I don’t start some of these projects now, they’ll never get done once the holiday season comes barreling in, full steam ahead, at the strike of midnight on Thanksgiving.)
If you started following my blog because you love a good upcycled creation – stick around! If you’re new here, I’d love for you to take a look around, and if you are inspired by what you see, please follow along!
